This is the first place we visited on December 11th 2010. Candi Cetho (Javanese speeling) is a Hindu temple relics patterned end of the Majapahit period (15th century). That located in Seto village, in the Central of Java. Candi Cetho is one of the heritage of King Brawijaya. On the top of the temple, King Brawijaya built a statue of him which called Nala Genggong. The Function of this Temple is not different from the other Hindu temples as a place of worship. Thats why, we visited Cetho Temple, could make us know about Hindu Heritages.
| Mangku Cetho |
During the Dharma Yatra at Cetho Temple, we was guided by Mangku Cetho who dedicated him self for Cetho Temple. Mangku Cetho is a Java native but he is a Hinduism.
By Mangku's and our Guru's guidances, we felt so peaceful when was praying there, and because of our visit to Cetho temple is the purpose of the Dharma Yatra.
2. Puri Saraswati
Puri Saraswati was the second place. Puri Saraswati is the series of Cetho Temple, which located on the east of Cetho Temple. Puri Saraswati divided into three parts, namely Saraswati Dewi Statue, a place for Puja, and Beji which believed to provide safety and healthy.
3. Candi Kethek
Kethek temple was the third place we visited. Kethek temple is located on the west of Cetho Temple, which is one of the series of Cetho Temple. To reached the Temple we walked for miles and passed through the valleys.
Kethek in Javanese Language means a monkey, although it is the symbol of Hanuman (in Ramayana Itihasa). This Temple named Kethek because of the top is resemble to a puppet characters.
